The vineyard is located in the Alto Cachapoal Valley at 1.000 meters above sea level. The” Fundo de Santa Cruz” vineyard is constantly ventilated and refreshed by the Andes winds that flow downwards, providing conditions for a slow ripening of the fruit, favoring the development of the vid in an exceptional way.
The vineyard is planted with the following varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.

D.O.: Alto Cachapoal Valley Location: Coya. Latitude 34°14 26,9 – Longitude 70°33 10,9 – Altitude 1000 meters.
Located as one of the easternmost vineyards in Chile, in the pre-mountain range of Los Andes, Fundo Santa Cruz de Coya has 7 alluvial and colluvial terraces, making up 37 hectares of vineyards with soft hills sloping towards the north bank of the Cachapoal river. The soils found here are colluvial-alluvial, with abundant stones and low fertility producing natural stress on the vines.
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are grown with sustainable agricultural practices, using only organic products. The isolated location of the vineyard is blessed with the absence of plagues and disease, allowing us to grow extremely healthy and consistent fruit. The fields are planted in double Guyot, Royat cord, low yield, with average densities of 3.800 plants per hectare for the production of high quality fruit suitable for the production of fine wines.

The winery is located 27kms. from the city of Rancagua, in the pre-Andes range zone of Coya, in the Alto Cachapoal Valley. The climate is moderately Mediterranean with a rainy winter (350 mm per year), with extremely low temperatures and occasional snow falls(30 cms in winter). In the summer, the days are warm, refreshed in the afternoon by cool breezes coming from the Pacific in through the canyons that make up the Cachapoal river.
Spring is cool, with occassional frost and low precipitations, were as autumn is also cool with nearly no rain. Our vineyard has one of the coolest micro-climates in the Cachapoal Valley. These conditions allow for a very slow ripening of the grapes.

The winery has more than ten, 2.500 liter stainless steel vats used to vinify small lots of selected grapes, respecting the differences of each parcel of origin. That is the way that we are able to produce, for example, four different types of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery also has six, 15.000 liter stainless steel vats for different blends of wines. We also have a vertical 300 kg press, a 3.000 kg pneumatic press, vibrating selection table, latest generation destemmer as well as a 9 meter harvest elevator. The barrel storage is thermally insulated, with a constant, controlled temperature that is always between 12 and 17°C.
The oak barrels we use are specifically manufactured and selected for us. Our winemaker, Francois Massoc, who used to be a cooper in his early years, is involved in all of our oak barrels’ manufacturing process. We are committed to consistently expressing the terroir of the Alto Cachapoal Valley through each and every one of our labels.
